I have a Hobart 135, and it is a great welder for the money up to about 3/16 and maybe 1/4 steel. Probably a best buy for 110 volt usage, which makes it a lot more portable than a 220 volt model. I think Miller bought Hobart, so they are now the same company. But if you are welding frames, it might not be enough. It's great for body panels. I think I got it new for about $435 including tax and it came with a small spool of .030 flux core wire. Mostly, I'm using .035 flux core, however, which is expensive. You can use the argon gas with this welder, which is a nice feature, and I may go that way eventually, which will save on wire cost, but right now I'm not using it enough to worry about that. Hope that helps.

miller bought hobart the handler is the low end and the xp130 is the high end, the arc caracteristics with the xp130 makes it easy to make beutiful welds, use mine almost every other day as a portible welder and like it very much.
