Rodex Gopher Gitter?

Does anyone know about this contraption? It looks real good. Basically, you stick this nozzle into the gopher/suirrel/etc. hole, sqeeze the trigger for a few seconds that allows a propane and air mixture to fill the tunnel and then you ignite it. BOOM! It collapses the tunnel and supposedly kills the critter instantly.
The problem I'm getting is that another company, Rodenator, says the Rodex company is bankrupt and not only that, but the model I'm looking at (the 4000) is dangerous.

Any input would be appreciated.

Spent a bunch of years at the Gowen Field bomb dump near the Boise airport"s eastern overrun area. For some reason they hated the whistle pigs and spent untold tax money and manhours driving around shotgunning the little rodents. Then one year we started hearing low order detonations. Not sure of the brand but they were using the new at the time fuel/air injectors. Some of the guys would literaly blow dirt and roots all over the place and others would just produce little thumps. We never did see much change in the squirrel population. At least the pickup hunters didn"t point guns and shoot towards us quite so often.
