Hi Stan, That would be the same thing, they write R.O.B. on the delivery ticket, same thing, taken right from the bank or pit. It's funny how the names change for the same material, crushed stone out here, that is used for road sub-base, NYS D.O.T. approved, commonly referred to Item #4, some people call it crusher run. I did a lot of things in my career, covered a lot of ground in a short period of time, been around construction since I was a young kid. Heavy on experience, lot of high rise buildings and quite a bit of residential, light commercial earlier on. I could get into a lengthy detailed description of my career, knowledge and experience but in short, started in the trades, site work, heavy equipment, 2 yr deg civ eng., also NYU bldg. const mgt, and became a senior project manager. Like you said, just a lot of experience, always looking to learn something too. Pick up on things very quickly, have done many kinds of projects, always hands on at each one, been on a lot of job sites, and done a fair amount in dollar value, well over $500 million in new out of the ground projects, which is a considerable amount of experience as an individual, but nothing to brag about, just a number. Some people will far exceed that number, by leaps and bounds, with some of the mega jobs going out there. Just fortunate to have been on a lot of different types of projects where learning, and experiences were abundant.
In good faith towards a site that is such a familiar face, I really enjoy trying to help out, some of the construction questions are very familiar to me, so it's hard not to contribute, and that's real nice compliment Stan, there are probably lots of people who forgot more then I'll ever know LOL !! Seriously though, just being a good neighbor, one should always help where you can. I think we all share what we know here, everyone has a chance to shine in that regard, and that's the best part of contributing, everyone makes a good team effort to help across the board, which is the most important part of it all, showing the willingness to share that knowledge, no matter what it is.
