I have an electric 1500 lb pressure washer. I have a good 40 lb water supply feeding it. When I hit the wand handle the pressure clicks up to 1500 lb but then right back to 0 lb. It just sits there, cycling back and forth. Took regulator out and it is clean and the plunger is free. Was eying up taking check valves out of pump but need a 21 mm wrench. Anyone have any ideas? I would drain this in the winter and keep it in a warm area but never ran any oil or RV antifreeze thru it. Thanks for any help!

My father-in-laws Coleman P/W had a similar problem. I took it apart and the rubber seals around the 3 pistons were cracked. New seals cost around $50, not worth fixing. He bought a new washer. Guy at the repair shop confirmed this was a common problem with aged washers. HTH
