I got a Honda with a super big engine. I forget the CC's or the model number, but its the biggest one they make. It's truly a 4 stroke--it takes regular gas, and you have to the change the 10w30 oil regularly just like any other regular 4 stroke engine. Honda starts on the 2nd crank ALWAYS (1st crank is choked after pressing the prime bulb). I love it. -stephen PS. I do use a Stihl bump head for my trimmer line (cause its the best too).

I needed something to cut brush where the bushhog wouldn't fit, got a solid shaft Stihl 4-mix and sawblade, 4 years later its still going strong

good on gas, lots of torgue, quiet, like having a radial arm saw out in the woods

you get what you pay for, but no sense in tying up lots of bucks in something you might not use as much as I do

The Ryobis have that quick link system like the Craftman, Green machines and a few other new ones.I only have the 2-cycle and they were light powerful but tempermental.I don'tknow the changes they made to the engine, an IBC,to make it 4 stroke. Perhaps reviews on Amazon, etc would be good. I'll all for economy but one guy forks up the $$ for a Stihl and it lasts for years and some other engines burn out quick.

Can't help you as far as most bang for bucks but I own a Ryobi 'system'
It's got a 4 stroke head and different attachments that click on.
Weedeater, small tiller for wifes 4'x8' beds and extetion with a sawsall for limbing,
I'm happy I bought it.
A little heavy but reliable and good torque.

I bought a Stihl FS110 3 years ago and so far it is a fine machine. Not cheap.
