OT: No Barn Heat ; HVAC Experts?

Problem is my barn furnace will not turn on. It does nothing, no blower ops, no error code or anything. LED stays on solid.

Specifics: 1993 Goodman ; Model GMP100-3 (I converted to LP a few years back). SN 9510835018

I tried a new thermostat & it did nothing as well. The furnace worked fine all winter & then it was not used for a few weeks & when I went to use it when it turned back cold, it will not operate.

Pls help,... I cannot stand knowing its not operating...even though I will hopefully not need it 'til next fall.

If you have a call for heat and no blower operation, you have to be looking at a power source problem, or a primary safety switch that is open (door interlock swich). There is a possibility it is in the primary control also. The sequence of operation should be this: Call for heat (thermostat makes 24 volts from the R to W terminal on the control board), ventor motor starts, pressure switch makes (to prove vent), ignitor comes on, gas valve opens...and then you have flame. I would focus on the front portion of that sequence to find the problem.

Have u try to turn it off and back on the power some of the furnace has a lock out built in the board. Leave it off for a few min. At the therm. wire jump red and green out to see if the fan will come on. that will tell if u lost 24 volts some where. and another thing check the therm and make sure u wire RH and not RC in the therm.
Red is hot off the trans RC is red cool
Green is fan RH is RED heat Yellow or blue is AC
white is heat.
Be care full jumping white and red out it will burn the stat up turn power off and unhook therm before jumping it out. At the board on the furnace
Sound like to me some reason the therm is not sending 24 wolts back to the furnace
Most Therm. wire will brake easy.
Check the fuse on the mother board first.

Some simple things to check. Reset as already mentioned. Check the flue for obstruction,such as bird nest. Check your propane supply. Not saying that is all it is but you will feel awful foolish if a service tech discovers that is all it is.

On the Control Board, there is a Fuse. It is an ATC Type. It should be a 3 Amp Rating. If that pops, you have NOTHING.

I am sorry, I did NOT catch that you have a Solid Red LED light. Yes, that would indicate that the Fuse is OK.

I have the Wiring Diagram for this model as we speak.

Do you have ~24VAC at terminals R & Chassis Ground?

I believe that on that model there is a "reset" switch mounted near the burner. Sometimes if there is a momentary power loss the reset button will need to be reset. Hope this helps. John,PA
