What gauge wire do I need to hook two 12 volt batteries in series (24 volt) to power a trolling motor?

Thanks

Minn Kota has a chart on their site that tells you how to select the right gauge wire for your application. I think it's located in the FAQ section.

Are you sure you want total of 24 volts? Most troling motors I use are 12 volts. Now you could put 2 batts in parallel(plus to plus and minus to minus)to get longer run time. Wire probably is least no. 10, but I'm not there. Could be no. 8 which is bigger. Marina or hardware store could advise ya.

At least as large as the wires going to the trolling motor.
