OT. How was just wondering how many 2x6x12 are there in a bundle? I'm thinking of building a shop out of wood instead of metal.
Thanks, Eddie

Normal bundle of lumber is 40 in high by 48 in wide. For 2x6 that would be 20 high by 8 wide. Bundles are made this size to facilitate hauling. Stacked 3 bdl high on a drop-deck trailer it just clears the loaded height limit, & runs around 45000# for weight limit. 48 in wide fits on an 8 foot trailer. Nowdays most trailers are 8 1/2 feet wide, but the bundle size hasn't changed. Of course actual size of planed lumber would be a bit smaller, but that is close enough.

I think 200 or 250 in the bundles that were delivered when I bought 500 one time.

BUT, you don't want them bundled. It too me years to stack and restack to dry those wet things, leaving me with molded and crooked planks. You want to go pick out each one for quality and straightness.

If you buying them --- wouldn't it be just as easy (and simple) to ask the seller ???? each seller may have different amounts in each bundle...
