I am re-installing the bearing carriers on my VA. The manuel says to use a T-109 sleeve on tracors with disks brakes. I tried installing them without using this tool since I don't have one and I can't get the carriers to seats all the way. Can anyone tell me exactly what this T-109 sleeve is suppose to do and maybe I can make one? Thanks

Maybe someone on the Case board knows.

How do you reach someone on the Case board?

Look at the top of your screen....above the red band that says "Tool Talk Discussion Board". You will see a grey band with various tractor brands. Click on Case on the left side and it will take you to a page where you can choose to go to one of the lastest topics or directly to the discussion board.

I have a 50s VAC, but my books and the tractor are 120 miles away. At the price of gas, ($3.10 and up near San Francisco) I will seldom get to see it. These oil companys are killing life as we know it.

Finally fiquered out what I was doing wrong. Jacked up rear of tractor,so wheels could rotate, which turns gears and lets you line every thing up. I still can't fiqure out what that tool would be used for.

You've seen the picture in the manual, right? I've never had or used one but it looks like it is for alignment during assembly but ????

I have the seal on the shaft, it just won't seat all the way back.
