What kind of sweet corn do most of the folks down your way plant? Most people here that buy at farmers' markets want silver queen or white corn. I like some of the yellow ones better, but one has to grow what the folks want. Just wondering if you know of a better white corn to try. Hope things are going well for you.

Top of the mooring Jim, most grow silver queen to sell. I spec most folks (buyers) don't know their is enny thing else out their to buy. For my own use I grow Kandy Corn but not sure it would bring enny more to off set the difference in the cost of the seed. I don't sell so am not sure how well the Kandy corn would sell. I expect to find a worm every now and again but well as you know the consumer don't. That's all I know cuzz I am a wantabe Farmer and not the real deal like you. I have never planted Tatters (New Tatters, Kinnie bucks or sum'n like that) so mite just give it a shot. I have the garden turned and 'bout ready If it don't turn off to wet. I have have the notion before but the monsoons set in and in this clay it stays to wet. Do I bust a row and drop'em in cut up in quarters about 6" apart and cover, how bout fertilizer if so how deep or how much do I hill it wif my 140, you know I like to change out the cultivating tools and have 2 farmalls, a 100 and 140. Email me yer # again and i will give ya a Hoot! Thanks Hobo
