First remove power and wait at least 30 seconds before turning power back on. Try furnace and if it works then may be just a glitch or the blower motor is not working or you need the control board with relays (the brain board as someone called it) The boards are not expensive as some say. Check the site below for boards and also Grainger sells boards.

first thing wrong is that it is a bryant. son had one in the house he bought and it was 2 service calls every year. igniter card went out every year. after 3 years of fooling with it, it was replaced with a carrier heat pump with propane backup. going to do the same for me this summer.

Farmerboy Steve: Did you know that Bryant is made by Carrier?

CARRIER: A wholly owned subsidiary of United Technologies.

BRYANT: A division of Carrier Corp-United Technologies.

The Bryant furnace is basically just a re-badged Carrier most of the line uses interchangeable parts.

I don't get into brand bashing because I have serviced many brands and they all fail sooner or later. Proper sizing and installation of the unit, in my opinion,is more important than brand name.

furnace guu just told me, he thinks the brain box is bad, he also said this model was the one with the most problems. I have had 4 repair calls in the last four years, think I am going to get a new one. Thanks for the replies

I have a 90i furnace too. installed in 1999. I think it is a sorry excuse of a furnace. 4 service calls in 7 years. I just had a new heat exchanger installed, lifetime warranty on the heat exchanger but I had to pay $750 for the labor though. (sucks) The next furnace I get will be a low eff. regular unit for about $2000 less and not all the razmatazz electronic crap that will malfunction. Sorry for the rant but it really burns my a$$. Sorry I cant help you out.

If it is flashing a code 41 it must be one of the models with the electronic communicated Motor, that code normally indicates the blower did not come up to expected speed or can not maintain that speed.

Not a whole lot a home owner can do except to check to see if the filter is clean. You might try to turn off the power to the unit for a few seconds to allow the control to reset and then watch the start up sequence for the codes to reappear does a code 44 occur before it locks out on a 41 Code.

With the complexity of this system and the instrumentation it takes to troubleshoot it probably best to call a pro on this one.

Sorry I am sure this is not the answer you are looking for.

I had one, put in in 91. I just replaced it with a Lennox HF furnace. The goofy board went out, and it would cost nearly $1500 to replace it. And I was told my heat exchanger was good for only a couple of years....
