I have a 7000 lb floor jack the wears the michelin name but I am sure is some other make. The jack will not pump up and it is full of oil. I think what happened was it was loaded and released rapidly causing something to blow. I was wondering where a person could find a breakdown of the pump parts. I can take it apart and rebuild it if I have a few directions. But I have taken it apart and cannot find any definite reasons why it will not jack up. So where do I find a diagram of the parts? thanks

There are no parts available for the Michelin,
and no parts drawings. This does not come out of the same factory as MVP, but is similar in design
(as most all Chinese jacks). You might get lucky, take it apart and find it full of shavings
or some such (as the previous poster did) - after all, it doesn"t work in its present state!

Have nothing in my books on "michelin". Are there any "casting" numbers on the jack? Is it foreign made?

Yes,it is made in china. I cannot find any casting numbers on it. It is dark blue with a black handle. I have seen many other jacks that are made identical to it with different names. I believe that napa sells a jack similar to it. thanks jake

I bought an MPV also made in China and it had a gray cast iron pump / valve assembly. The pump would not raise up so I tore the pump / valve assembly apart. It had a lot of metal debris in the circuits from machining and also on of the check ball seats (cast iron)was chipped so the check ball would not seat properly. I machined the seat down to allow a full seal with the check ball and cleaned everything up and it works great now.
