I recently bought 2 old table saws, a Craftsman & a Wizard (Western Auto) at a yard sale. Does anyone have suggestions on where to find a modern clear plastic safety guard to cover the blades?

There are saw guards and then there are SAW GUARDS! If you want basic protection that keeps you from getting your fingers lopped off, check with Sears for what is available and adapt as necessary. I've got a 25-year-old Sears 12" table saw with an "acceptable" guard. Acceptable in that I don't get so frustrated with it that I take it off very often.

If you want maximum protection from finger and eye loss, check out the "Brett Guard" models. They are quite pricey, but extremely good.

For the Crapsman at least, you should be able to get a kit from Sears. May not apply to your particular model, but shouldn't be too hard to adapt.
