Was rebuiding mower deck spindles saturday, picked up a batch of 6203 bearings from Tractor Supply. 6: deep groove, 2: light duty, 03: 17mm bore. worked and worked with one spindle until i finally measured the bearing and found it to be 16.39 MM. I guess i should be more surprised that it has never happened to me before that i am surprised that it did happen to me at all. i bet i have handled thousands of bearings with no problem before. any of you fellows run into mis grinds on bearings before? thanks for listening

I went with my Cuz to Auto Zone to get bearings for his car. The guy brought out some that were made in China. I told him we
did not want that junk and if he did not have USA made we sure as heck would take our tradeing to someone else that did. He
looked shocked, but went and got the USA parts. ;o]

I have never had any problem such has yours with Chinese bearings. I do have a problem with buying Chinese since the hostage-apology episode. Of course, the poor workers will be the ones to suffer, not the ones who caused that fiasco. I am looking at the place of manufacture now. I have put things back on the shelf and bought the same item made somewhere else. I'm sure I will get over it eventually.

Dave's right- don't ever get over it! Red China is our sworn enemy and they will destroy us if we let them. I haven't bought anything from RC for 5 years now. If I can do it, so can anyone else.

Don't ever get over it. According to them, we are there #1 enemy. Whatever you buy from China, is helping them prepare for war with us. I remember in our history books before WWll, we supplied Japan with huge supplies of scrap iron. We all know what they did with it....dave

i know some WW2 vets that say they saw japanese bomb casings with ford script on them.apparently metal was cut from ford hoods and made directly into bomb casings.talk about giving someone the knife they stab you with.sheesh.

I think there is another point of view you may not have considered. I know it's nothing to do with the average citizen, but I also know some WWII vets who in '39 and '40 were fighting Germans who were driving General Motors trucks ! Think about it !

Have to agree whole heartedly Dave. The Chinese will never be our friends. I also feel strongly that our people who died for this country and our way of life during the conflict of WWII did not intend for us to be governed by the U.N. as part of a one world order either.
