HELP! I put a new rebuilt generator on my 9N last year and still not getting a charge out of it. I can't find anyone in my area who knows how to wire up this thing, not even an auto mechanic I know. Anyway, I currently have the field terminal on the gen going to the small box (regulator???) terminal, then it goes to the "gen" terminal on the ignition switch (added by the last owner) then finally to the battery, is this correct? If this is correct is there a chance the gen is not working or is it something else?? I would appreciate any help or guidelines from 9N'ers around the country.

Thanks loads!

Dave Jeffrey

P.S. It's a 6 volt positive ground setup

Click on the link below. The diagram you need is the first one (2N/9N) 6V. Hope this helps.

Go to the 8n, 9n board and search generator. There is a schematic there for a 6v generator installation.
