Have anyone out there painted or sealed concrete floor with radiant heat?Slab was poured in DEC06,we put down a moisture barrier before the insulation,2in foamula board,then wireand tubing.the heat is on in the garage,which,by the way to go.The mason used a power trowel and made the finish just rough enough so its not slippery yet it is easy to sweep-i dont want to lose that texture if possible-my question is-ive read that if you put a piece of plastic on the floor and moisture appears you have moisture in the slab,the heat dries it am worried that what i put down will peel up-sorry for the long post,but dont know which way to go.Thanks to all

I would think that any coating or sealing should be done in the summer after it is hot enough. Can you imagine painting in 30F weather?, of course I dont know what state you are in either.

Did you have them apply a sealer? They usually do, unless you stop them and it may need to be stripped before applying a new finish. Concrete can take months to really cure (years if you want to get picky). I'd probably wait until summer before putting another finish on, that way you're more assured that the concrete has dried well first. The radiant should help it cure faster.
