I used to carry course ground black pepper with me round the country when I was driving semi cross country. Used it several times thru the years too!
Carried rubbing alcohol with me too & put in airlines/air system in winter to keep air from freezing too.
Yeah, & rubbing alcohol cost $.11 cents per bottle back then too! Could live big on $5 per week too...

Best radiator stop-leak is a good radiator shop. All those snake oil stop leaks are only of limited value for s short term patch. BTDT and then had problems with cooling system. I could have saved money and agravation by pulling it and fixing it right to start with. Tom

To Answer your queston,,, the out side boiler I use is loosing water more then normal, so there must be a leak on one of the welds, soooo--- have to apply stop leak until I find and fix.

There are some tablets that you get from GM that are all organic. just crumble them up and put in your radiator. I have only used them short term, so I don"t know how long they last. but they have never failed to work for me.

I agree with the product Ed's talking about. My relatives worked at Ford and they put 2 of those big organic pills in every radiator of a new vehicle.
