Stopped in a pawn shop while out ''tresure hunting'' Guy had mostley jewerly and electronics, there was a cheap tool box of mostles y flea market tools. he asked if i could use it at 110.00 Said no thank you then he said, well look and see if you need anything out ofit i'll probably piece it out. Got to scratching around and found 10 Snap on wrenches. 3/8 to 1/116. He says I'll take 1.00 each if you'll take all of them, the box will still bring 111.00 Turn out this guy is a jewrley repairman that works parttime. Doesnt know tools i've went back got some things but never like that.Tell me about some of you fellas ''great finds'' in tools.''

My best deal was a brand new 3/8" Old Milwaulkee variable speed reversing drill for $10. Best drill motor I own.

I have 2 circular saws and 2 drills(1/4" & 3/8") that I use all the time that came from free piles at lawn sales.
2 summers ago I found an 80's vintage Snap-On Ignition Analyzer, 'new' in the box at a lawn sale. Guy had won it as a door prize years before and never opened it. Total price...$3.00
Unused 70's vintage 29 piece SK Wayne socket set...$2.00 Various and sundry Craftsman wrenches, sockets and drivers...

I once went to a yard sale where "she" was selling "his" tools after he ran off with his secretary.

My car was too small that day.

Just ONE example...

Cabinet maker's grade, rosewood handled box square... 50 cents.

Don't get me started...well, OK.

Busted Craftsman 1/2" ratchet handle from scrap bin. Love the warranty.

Air compressor bits and parts from local dump. Finally found a tank and I'm pumpin' air. Also found three almost new circ. saws, about four drills, belt sander, sabre saw, weedeaters, and on and on.

Rockwell 10", 1 1/2 HP contractor table saw from church sale. "How much? '$10.00' Sounds good to me." Three Craftsman 8" table saws the same way.

Old fellow selling Stihl 032 and Homelite SXL-924 (5HP!) at a yard sale: "Will you give me $20 for the set?."

Off eBay: $37 DeWalt 18V drill and batt, 18V charger for $10, Bosch 12V drill for $5, $35 Paslode nailer, $8 impact wrench, $10 air hammer set, $25 Sioux/Milwaukee 3/8" angle drill.

And finally, I got a huge IBM typewriter service kit from an old man I knew. The thing has a zillion Snap-On wrenches below 1/4".

Whew!

My wife and visit pawn shops at the time mosty looking for odd wrenches, but one I lucked up on a set Mac 1/2 drive impact sockets 1/2-1 1/4 completefor 20 bucks. We have also found various Snap-on, Mac, Proto, Bonney, and Wright sockets and wrenches. But my most price find was a Cornwell 1/2-7/16 th box end with my Dad,s intials on it, he had several 100 dollars worth of tools stolen about 15 years ago.
