Does anyone have any experience with the Eden Pure quartz portable heaters that Paul Harvey advertises? Do they work as he says, or it it just another glorified electric heater? They ask a good dollar for them. I could use one to help heat a large room in a log house. We have a boiler and water heat prersently and was thinking of getting one of these units to help raise the temperatures faster when coming home at the end of the day. Any comments good, bad, or otherwise would be appreciated.

The company that sells these heaters is in Canton, Ohio, not far from me. They've had a bad reputation for misleading or deceptive advertising and inferior products for years.

Bus Driver is right. Agree 100%. I like unvented space heater with oxygen sensor and limited to 5 or 6 thousand BTU. And not in bedrooms.

In terms of units of heat output per dollar of electricity input, all electric heaters are equal.

I called the company because in the ad they do not say anything about it being an electric heater. They would not give me the amount of amps it used. I was suspicious in the beginning and I am more so now. The ad went into the round file, and I'm glad I put it there. Beware!!!!! lj

small electric heaters, although usefull, should not be used when no one is home, or worse yet sleeping at night. A small one might be useful in an instance like this and work well though.

Just remember that a quartz type radiant heater only heats objects not the air.

Didn't ole Paul claim to have fixed his trailer hitch with "wonderful JB Weld"?

That's when he lost ALL credibility at my house.
