Hough Loader

I have a hough H-70 loader and the problem I am having is that when in gear the tractor looses oil pressure and stops moving. FYI I have the paylomatic drive. If I let it sit and idle for about 20 seconds, the time varies, it will have pressure again and move. It does it in forward and reverse both. It does it when it's hot and cold. I have checked the oil like to manual states and it shows the oil is full. However, in doing some troubleshooting I found that when the tractor has no oil pressure the oil level is low, but as soon as the pressure comes up the level is fine. I'm hoping there is somone out there that has worked on these enough to find me a place to look for my problem. Thanks

hi not sure if your machine is like my little hh or not but on the bottom of the trans there is a four bolt plate that comes off there is a oil suction screen under it mine will act alot like that when that screen is plugged up . hth good luck mike

Maybe a restriction in the oil "return" line(s).Such as a partialy stopped up screen or a pinched return line. Don't know anything about the tractor. But, if the return is slow the oil in the reservoir could be dropping to the point the pump is temporaily losing prime.
