Yep , the blades are expensive to buy . I have heard that the county or state hyway maintanence departments sometimes has worn out ones free for the asking once in a while . Sure they are worn but its better than none at all since yours is missing . May or may not be adaptable to your box , but its worth a try .

As a sidenote , I wonder if you can get one hardface welded ... seems it would be cheaper than a new blade .

Measure the exact width of the blade and bolt hole locations. It might be a standard 6 ft. grader blade. If not any blade supplier can get a custom blade with holes punched where you need them. Any cheap box blades are for pretty light duty only. I've seen a few that were all bent up on fairly small tractors. It shouldn't be too hard to get a new blade for the cutting edge. Dave

If the box blade has a manufacturer's name on it, try a local tractor dealer. If they don't sell that brand, they might know who does or did.

If it doesn't have a name on it, look at the color of the box blade and talk to your tractor dealer. They might know who made it by the color. For example, John Deere green, Allis orange, etc.

However, even if you find a blade, you might be surprised at the cost. It might be cheaper to buy a new box blade. They're one of the cheapest implements you can buy now.
