Anyone got a plan for a large BBQ that will do a quarter of beef a pig etc?
I want to build one for our Gun Club....( steel on wheels )

I built one from a oval fuel tank. I used a LP gas flame thrower for heat. If you LP gas. Make a tank hookup to run 2-20# tanks together so they won't ice up. When I fitted the grate in the barrel, I put 2 5/8" cold rolled rods on each end (approx. 18" past the end.)so I mounted removal tables on the rods which worked great. I placed the axle behind the end of the barrel so it wouldn't interfere with a person working on the grill. Have fun!

Most I have seen were made from old oval shaped fuel tanks. Saw in half, add grating, smokestack, vents in the bottom, and attach wheels. BE SURE TO CLEAR ALL FUEL FUMES OUT BEFORE YOU START CUTTING, ETC.
