Like you, I've used them both. Don't see much of a difference in effectiveness between the two.

Have used both, the Sea foam seems to work a lot better to me than B12. Have used Sea Foam for about 6 years, bought B12 cause everyone talked about how good it is, I was nto impressed, so wne back to Sea Foam

Rather than pouring in additives to reduce gumming caused by low quality gasoline. How about just filling the tank with quality fuel that doesn't gum or varnish? The good stuff costs within a couple cents of premium pump gas. The answer is 80 octane aviation fuel if you can find it or 100LL.

what did you mean by "How about just filling the tank with quality fuel that doesn't gum or varnish?
The good stuff costs within a couple cents of premium pump gas."? around western ny there can be $.20 difference between reg and premium on the same pump.

Seafoam, ingredients by volume

Pale oil = 40-60%
Naphtha = 25-30%
Isopropyl alcohol = 10-20%

None of the components are carcinogenic.

Chemtrol B-12, P.N. 0216 ingredients by volume

Toluene = 60-70%
Acetone = 20-30%
Hexanes = 5-10%
Methanol = <5%
Exxsol D110 or LPA-210 or Conosol 215 = <5%

OSHA does not list Chemtrol as a carcinogen.

I use B-12...lots of acetone...works good. I suppose that Sea foam works also.
