Hi all, I was wondering if anybody here has ever used a jack hammer with a moil point to make a pilot hole for t-post through rocky ground? Was wondering how well it would work for chunk rock.

It should help as long as ther isn't a big rock stopping it. I had to drill some holes for posts through asphalt but had to use a jack hammer to bust the asphalt first. I was drilling with a bobcat and they said it should go through the asphalt with carbide bits. They were wrong. Dave

I see you asked the same question over on the implements board and did not recieve a reply. I can't give an answer, but maybe my response will get some attention so others will read this and hopefully have the answer. I'm sure that someone who reads these boards does know.
