Fellow Harbor Freight customers (I know, I know, maybe I should not be buying their junk - but we have already had that discussion a hundred times :) ....

Do me a small favor and go on the Harbor Freight web site, customer service page and tell them to stop using those damn styrofoam popcorns for shipping. I got a back ordered set of impact socks tonight in a box full of styrofoam popcorn that was 6 times the volume of the merchandise. What a royal pain, what a mess!

Tell them, as I did, to get with the times. I don't know of any other retailer who ships their stuff with those things anymore.

Thanks for listening, it almost made me feel better.

We put some in one of our sheds and the chickens got in the box. It's amazing what a fit they had over those things. They ate everyone.

I used to take them up in my attic and spread them around for insulation, also that stuff from the bean
bag chairs. I don't think I would use the edible ones tho.

I hate that popcorn!!! But, I do admit that I save it to use when I ship things... 10 or so years ago, they came out with a type of popcorn that was made from starch.. you could pour it outside in the rain, and it would just melt away.. I wish it had become the standard, instead of the polystyrene. It is a shame at how fast we are filling up the landfills..

I had a box of those starch pellets inthe back of my pickup the other day, went outside to take them to the burn pile and I had 3 or 4 cats back there munching away. Never seen anything like it, I was tempted to get out the salt shaker and have a bowl of them while I watched a movie. I didn't but the cats ate quite a few and they had plenty of cat food around to eat so it wasn't because they were starving.
