I have a 3 ton jack stand. The spring/roll pin is broken allowing the stop to spin freely on the release handle. The hole appears to be 1/8 diameter. So I need to find a pin a bit larger than that. What type of pin comes in these? Stainless steel? What's the strongest?

Thanks,
Tyman

The roll pin is just a few thou. larger than the hole. Example: a .250in. pin will measure about 8-13 thou. larger. You may use a new pin to drive out the old; then the new one is installed, just be sure the new one is the correct length. If you aren't comfortable doing that, use a pin punch(they're.003undersize) that fits the hole. Thats my stratigy.
