lincoln SP-135 plus

Gentlemen, am considering buying a used lincoln sp135 plus,was wondering about any opinions,experiences, likes or dislikes about this particular model. I have a Miller thundrbolt ac/dc that I use now. The Mig will be for 1/8" and smaller, farm/home/hobby use. If I need to weld larger than 1/8 or 3/16 will use the stick or the old Miller big 40(if it will crank). I am not a pro welder, just a part time farmer that tries to fix my own stuff. My SP 100 is 15 years old and still works like it did new.This machine has done alot of welding with both inersheild and bare wire.One of the best tools I ever owned.

I have been looking to get that same welder. I like the fact that you have a variable heat setting.If you buy send a report although I think you will not be disappointed in that machine.Lincoln has a good rep.

I have a SP-100. Its a good little welder. I use mine on materials up 1/4". I like being able to take it anywhere and weld.

Yeah, I've been using my SP-100 for about 10 years now and what it can't do one my stick machines will.

I had a sp170, it was the biggest piece of junk I ever had. The plastic drive gears were always broken. I was in a local shop 2 times and sent back to Lincoln 2 times in three years, and never worked right. And to make things worse, Lincoln charged me $150.00 every time they looked at it. So much for customer service.

Yeah, my local dealer tried to sell me a complete new lead and gun when all I needed were some tips; said the old tips were not available. I called Lincoln and they asked how many I wanted; UPS delivered them in about 3 days.
