I think the quality control guy called in sick the day this wrench was manufactured. I never got the chance to use it. I broke it putting it in the plastic wrench organizer I bought with the wrench set. It apears to even have rust in the crack so it must have sat on a shelf somewhere a long time.

I had one just like that, but that was after I dug it out of the airlock on a grain vac!

Chrome just isn't as strong as it used to be! I have a Diet Pepsi can that is empty and sealed. I didn't think the 12 pak felt right!

They replaced it, no questions. Im kinda surprized after some of the other problems Ive had with them lately. Either its just or local store or Sears aint what it used to be. In fact this very wrench set is adverized online as coming with a carrying rack. Same sku but I had to pay for the rack. I called both the 800# and the store with no satisfaction.
But for the price with a lifetime warrenty cant beat craftsman

That's a new one on me too. I wonder if they'll argue with you when you take it back?

I hate to see the "forged in U.S.A." on there.

Reminds me of a pry bar I had a few years ago which snapped its head off the first time I used it. The black paint on the outside of the bar was halfway across the crack, so it obviously was bad from the get go. It was a cheap Chinese bar, so I wasn't really surprised, but you'd like to get some use out of it, no matter how cheap it was.

Hi Steve,

That long handled open end wrench should be fairly useful, but the stubby box end looks just a little too stubby.

All the best, Stan

It would make an excellant 3/4inch closed end crowsfoot when attached to an appropriate extension welded on. CENTAUR
