Today I saw CH nailers at COSTCO for $150.00 they were packaged: 1ea 21 degree 3.25 in frameing nailer. 1ea 2.5 in 15 gauge angle finsher nailer and 1ea 1/4 in brad 8 gauge . seems like a good price, anyone work with any of the CH stuff? I know its not the pro line but would it do for farm use? Thanks, Jack

My father and I purchased one to do a commercial remodel. We were applying about 300 sheets of paneling to the inside walls of a building. We wanted the nails to simply hold the sheets until the adhesive set. The brads were driven into inch thick plaster with wire backer. We didn't want to use our good Duo-fast trim nailer so we bought a cheap CH nailer, planning to throw it out after the job was over. That nailer is still in the toolbox 8 years later and gets used just as much as the Duo-fast gun.

I bought a three-pack this fall at Princess Auto. It had the 21 degree framing nailer, a palm nailer and an 18 gauge brad nailer.

The framing nailer is a very good product and has been of enormous use to me. I have only used 3 1/4" common cut-head nails in it, but ardox and galvanized nails are available at higher cost.

The palm nailer will drive 5" spikes pretty well, but the knuckles of my right hand are just now getting their skin back. Trouble was on my nailer it wouldn't start with a one-handed push on the nail. It needed a jolt. Providing that jolt under the rafters of an old house meant bashing the ends of nails hanging down through the sheeting above. Messy. Also, the moment created by a long hose on a very small nailer means the other hand has to hold against that constant weight when working the tool off a ladder. So while the palm sander works well on the bench, it's a pain at higher elevations.

The brad nailer tends to fire every second time, just like the identical one in a drawer in my shop. I used the other one for a winter of cabinet work but hated it the whole time. What do you expect for $18?

Anyway, that framing nailer is well worth the money by itself.

I would not be afraid of buying one for farm use.If you were an everyday carpenter then maybe I would go with a Senco or some other professional use gun.

I have been usin one of their brad nailers for years so when I saw the 3 pack at Lowes for 190 I put in a request to Santa. I noticed the other day that he left it under the Christmas tree. I think CH has right good stuff.
