LT Tires ??

Any recomendations would be appreciated!

If you've had trouble in the past keeping them inflated, did you check them to see where they were leaking? Submerge them in a tank of water and see where the bubbles are coming from. If they're going flat, that air's coming out someplace- ya gotta find out where and fix it.

If there's bubbles coming out on the tread or sidewall, either there's either a puncture or a defective tire. But.....

Even the best tire will leak if the bead area on the rim is corroded or otherwise not sealing well. Same goes for worn, dry-rotted valve stems or valve stem cores not seated fully. And of course a cracked rim will leak too.

The tire shop I worked at ALWAYS put new valve stems in whenever it mounted a new tire. And old, rusty rims were wire-brushed and the bead-seating area coated with a black tar-like substance that you can buy at your local parts store, which will stop most bead leaks. I have some here on the ranch and use it all the time on old implement tubless tires.

For what it's worth, I've usually gone to Nebraska Tire and see what they have in takeoffs or blems, $65 per tire plus shipping, doesn't matter what size. I've also had good luck with HiTec retreads, always ran their AT tread, heard good things about the MT's too. I got a set of retreads from Nebraska Tire once that had the same tread as the Big Foot XT, very happy with those tires.
