Built an octagon "breakfast nook" and need to cap the darned thing. It's about 13' 6" across at the the eaves with a 16"/12" pitch. Looking for ideas as to how to cap it. Would like to make up a steel cap and put a weather vane on top. Would be nice to be able to have a form (of the roof peak itself) and work on it at ground level and then just take it up and install. I've been reading the posts here with interest for a long while. I know there is talent here and hope someone will have the right solution. Thanx in advance.

Old neighbor of ours had one made by local sheet metal shop out of copper. Guy came out made a carboard pattern then made it up at his shop.
