OT 91 and 92 350 GM using antifreeze

1992 Buick Roadmaster and my buddys 1991 Suburban
both have a GM 350. They both use antifreeze but don't leak a drop. No water in the oil. Is this somthing common with this engine. Uses half gallon in two months consistantly.

Pressure test them cold.Best time to find hard to locate leaks.
Look losely at: 1)intake gaskets
2)radiator
3)quick disconnect nipples
4)water pump weep(drain) hole
5)hose connections

Does the radiator have plastic tanks? On my 98 Jimmy it leaks about that much around where the tranny and engine cooler are mounted. Nothing seems to seal it, and it doesn't leak enough to drip on the ground. It does vaporize enough coolant to smell though.

Alan in NE hit it on the head. Intake gaskets made of fragil plastic,break,leak into intake port. Eventually will take out oxygen sensor in exhaust. When you change them,get REPLACEMENT set as apposed to OEM set. The head and manifold surface will be very pitted where the seal was. The replacements will have the seal bead in a slightly different position so as to seal on the non-pitted surfaces of head and manifold. Do NOT overtighten!

Like Brad said check the heater hose at the manifold, they will leak and the heat will burn the antifreeze off so it dosn`t drip.
