I have a half dozen different sandblasters, always trying to get a better one. Like the others have said about the moisture, it is perhaps your biggest problem. In addition I will tell of another trick that works on most of them is---Do this carfuly and slowley the first time---You should be wearing rubber or leather gloves, I have never had anything go wrong by doing this I might add, but just suggest caution. Take the nozzle and with the trigger shut off, hold the nozzle very tight to your glove and squeeze the trigger. This will force air backwards in the feed tube / pot. Most times this will get her going again. You mentioned TSC blaster, I put my foot under the valve lever and open / shut it down a little, this is by no means a easy task, but sure beats getting my gear off and bending over my big belly to mess with the valve. You can blow those cheap hose clamps off doing this if your pressure is real high. I must also mention a year long problem I had with a couple of my blasters. I have always been at the bottom end of the pole when It comes to affording the better things in life, Like a very large air compressor. I have been known to hook up extra tanks, and taging two compressors together for sand blasting, and still running out of air pressure. I was fortunate enough a few years ago to get a bigger compressor, a real 5 HP. Not the box store carry in one hand with a bag of sand in the other type of 5hp. I was pretty disapointed in the sand blasting, never run out of air, in fact the compressor would shut off often. A year later a guy at the body shop told me to read the directions that suggested the max. psi. for the blaster. More is not always better in all cases, I turned the pressure down, and it works a lot better now. NE IA Dave
