Remote Control Switches

I"ve run electricity underground to the several outbuildings and the barn on my mini-farm, and installed floodlights on each one. I"d like to control the lights with a remote of some sort. All the electric radiates to the outbuildings from the barn, which has it"s own service. So I just need to switch the barn floods from the house, which is about 150 feet from the barn. Has anyone done this?

I recall Lutron made a system called X-10 years ago but always heard negative comments about them. Would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks

Sears had one in their garage door opener area. You would use the extra button of your three button opener to do the job. I have one and it is sweet.

keep it simple

set up motion detectors to cover areas you are interested in, if the light comes on when its not supposed to then you know something is out there

When I wanted to do the same most of what I found was either not far reaching or had other issues.So when we set the wire to them all we just dropped an extra wire from the house to all the buildings (since they were getting upgraded) and ran a bank of switches at the house to control the lights.
Glad I did it that way.
Want light out there now flip the switch.

I did pretty much the same thing. I have switches inside for the outdoor lights, but also have motion sensors on them. So they can work automatically or I can flip the switch and operate them manually.
