I have a couple gas tanks, cushman scooter and Isetta, that I just used electrolysis to remove rust and acid to etch the inside of the tank. I used a product called Kreem to line the tank. The tanks really look good. I guess it's kinda late to ask if anyone has used this and how does it hold up over the years, but I'm asking anyway.

Kreem is peculiar. I had a fresh set left over from the early '80s.The labels weren't too good and I didn't dilute the first prep and it Really ate things out.I had to solder the cap ring back. The real mistake was a couple days prior to using the sealant I opened up the can and mixed it good. When I got to use it it had half hardened to lumpy potato salad mix and was difficult.Don't expose to air unless using it all.

As long as you followed the directions, then you did good with a good product. The main thing was to get the acid etch neutralized and then rinsed out wiht water and dried good.

That is a good product and will work well if the inside of the tank is well cleaned first.

Kreem comes in a kit with cleaner and prep as well as the liner. You still want to clean it as much as possible. Motorcyle shops sell it and the service department has probably used it as well. They could help you out. Dave
