Not sure if this is the right board to ask this question or not. I recently purchased a trailer for hauling my Farmall around and I'm not sure about wiring the brakes. Have a blue wire and a white wire, which one is which?

Mine has the same two wires. Beings it's DC and it's only operating a selonoid, doesn't matter. However, convention has the blue being the one that gets + voltage from your brake controller, the white one goes to ground. On the trailer, neither one should ground out, however.

If you're talking about at the back of the truck, I would say the blue is "brake power", and the white is ground. Take a 12v testor and make sure though.

Start by determining which wire is "power" from the truck. Then, on the trailer side match the plug terminal and follow that wire back to each wheel. Connect one of the wires on each brake to the power. Then do the same with the ground. HTH

No, that was just for the brakes. You'll have to do similar for the turn signals and running lights. It's easy enough with a 12volt tester on the truck plug, just take your time and do one circuit at a time. Make sure you have a proper ground for the lights (usually to the frame on both truck and trailer). For the brakes though, I run a separate ground all the way to the negative terminal on the truck battery. Not as bad as it might seem, good luck.
