I found this website a couple weeks ago to get parts for a 124 flathead in an old case tractor. He carries many hard to find parts for continental engines. The guy seems to know what he's talking about on the phone. Give him a call and maybe he can help you out.

I have the radiator cap from a Towmotor forklift with the Continental engine in my hand right now, but can find no numbers on it. The spring in the cap is red, if that means anything.

Don't take this as a smart answer. Most likely you have an F model Continental, however we had a towmotor at work (small one) with a Y model Continental. I would take the cap off and check it. Also I would match up the thermostat. Continental ruled the forklift engine trade and there are many variations to those engine for different manufactures of Forklift trucks. Do you know the model and capacity of your lift truck? Should be a tag on there that tells that, if not don't tell OSHA. J. Questions?

I have a Continental G193 engine out of an Ingersol Rand compressor. Someone let water get in the exhaust pipe and I guess it rusted up a cylinder or two and the head got pitted. They tried to start it and bent the push rods. I've taken the head several places for surfacing but was told that due to the intragal water outlet neck that it can't be put on a machine. Does it require a special or obsolete surfacing machine to repair it? There is a number (date?) of 1972 on the intake or exhaust casting, don't remember which one. I think the towable compressor is a 125cu ft model. I got the compressor parts list from IR a few years ago.... near $50.

i have one of these compressors it has some blowby, smokes a little i think the solenoid went out. are you interested in one more for parts or to fix up it holds good pressure and good machine but i would say with amount of blowby it would need a ring kit. i upgraded to a 97 model.
