6 weeks ago I posted that Energizer batteries had ruined a Maglite flashlight. I was frustrated that they had no phone number on the battery package. Sent an email to their website.

Couple of days later I got an email saying to expect a letter. The letter contained a pre-paid shipping label for USPS.

Today I received a check for $25 and a letter saying, sorry, the flashlight wasn't repairable, which I already knew. I'm happy to see a company that actually stands firmly behind their product.

it almost sounds like a trend here...dad has used energizer batteries for some time, and in the last 6 months, he's had one start seeping inside 2 of his maglights (energizer bought them both) they ruined a kids toy and something else...maybe time to look for a new battery brand.

Mag light will fix your light. The switch broke in mine, I sent it in for repair. They not only fixed that, but gave me a new lens and replaced the rubber switch cover I had lost years earlier. They didnt charge me a dime. Just send it in for repair and see what happens.

You're correct, Maglite totally stands behind their product. Which is reason enough NOT to ask them to repair damage caused by someone else's product. They've got to make a profit to stay in business.

They had already replaced the switch on this particular flashlight a couple of years ago. And included a new bulb when they sent it back.

No question about which brand I'll buy with Energizer's money.

I dont see anything wrong with sending it in. If you are willing to pay for it and they do it for free, well thats a great company. They get your future biz and you tell your friends how great they are. I see this as a good thing for both parties. Id see it as dishonest if if you claimed it was their product that failed or some other fib.

That is good to know and I commend you for letting it be known that good people are still around.

On the other side of the coin,I just bought something from someone on E-bay that was junk and had it too long before I installed it to leave bad feedback. (90 days). So I decided to sell his junk on e-bay, just so others could see, and was surprised at the response I got and all the folks that had got junk from him.

If interested the link is.

LMAO... Thanks for starting my day off well. Unfortunately, at your (and others) expense.

Loved it.

The posting on Ebay is great, I never thought of that.
I am in the middle of getting a PTO box repaired or replaced by Muncie.
I broke a u-joint and before I could get her shut down, it stripped all the teeth off the input gear. It had about 1 minute of use from Brand New.
I'll let you know the outcome.

I was wondering if Muncie still had parts for old truck PTO's , I have a 64 F-600 with a muncie PTO, never did a search for them on the web, thing works great, but parts like seals etc. would be nice to find.
