I have a concrete water trough stock tank in one pasture that is leaking- not a big leak but, enough to keep the ground wet in front of the trough and ice will be a problem this winter. I know there is a lot of experience on this board and I am hoping that someone has a product they have used for just such a fix that they would recomend. I will likely have to wait till spring to do the fix unless whatever I were to use will dry and set fast. I am thinking of using stone around the trough through the winter to let the water drain away and fix in the spring. Thanks in advance.

You may even be able to patch it while filled, get some hydraulic cement, pack it in the crack or hole, it will cure underwater.

I would probably flush the tank out good afterwards to make sure the water was ok for the stock, so draining it as much as you can before the repair work would make sense.

Most hardware stores carry hydraulic cement, portland cement is hydraulic cement and will cure underwater.
