Has anyone here ever had to move or relocate an existing vehicle lift ? My client bought an existing building, with vehicle lifts in place, 2 of which I am going to remove and either sell or use one, both are 7000 lb capacity made by Challenger. It's obvious that after you unbolt them from the anchor bolts, you can hoist them out, however I was wondering the best way to handle the hydraulic lines, which I will have to disconnect, am wondering that when they are eventually reinstalled, there is a way to bleed the air out of the lines and anything else to keep in mind.

You may have to raise lift to waist high, remove cables, lower lift remove lines and plug, remove power, unbolt from floor and drive anchors down into floor. 2 good men kin walk it to a trailer and load, Piece of cake. If you plan on reinstalling them measure lay out before you remove. Nuttin to it

I may be in the market for a 2 post 10,000 lb lift in in the near future. I see the Bendpak lifts are available from Northern tools for around $3,000 delivered. I've looked at a few used ones but for the money they were asking and the condition they were in, I just walked away.

I have moved several Rotary brand lifts. You have to unbolt them from the floor and lay them down and disconnect cables and stuff and the top beam. Then reassemble. If yours has hyd cylinders in both vertical posts then after reasseblining and mounting just run it up and down a foot at a time a few times then put a light weight vehicle on it and do thay a few more time and you will be ready for action.
