Typically these types of cylinders have a threaded ring threaded around the rod and down in the top of the cylinder. It should have either slots or holes for a spanner type wrench to remove it. Often they are put in using a thread locking compound so you may have to heat the area where the ring screws in before trying to remove it. If it has a spring return the screw holding the spring can be either through the top of the piston rod, recessed in a hole in the bottom, or sometimes accessed through the same hole the fitting screws into. As for the seals, again, they are usually a common "polypac" type lip seal that should be available through your local hydraulic supply house....Notice I said typically, usually, often, etc alot. I normally like to be more precise when I talk about a subject but in this case I've had several different brands apart over the years and they can all differ between brands, tonnages, etc. Basically they are all designed using the same principles but the parts can be all over the board. Hope this helps more than it confuses. Good luck.

Cylinders are all different..Most have a nut or collar that unscrews off to release the chrome rod and piston..Seals are inside..If you have a hydraulic shop nearby , they can come up with seals for it..
