Can anyone recommend a good quality handheld spotlight? Needs to be rechargeable via household outlet.

I have went through a couple of the cheapie $9 ones & I think its time to get something thats good but yet resonably priced!

The two I have had were 1mil candle pwr & were pretty nice when new, but after a year or so, they do not hold a charge very well.

Thanks for the input!

i have a brinkman Q beam max that has been pretty good so far. It does discharge pretty fast at 2 million candle power. But it shines bright and has 3 different filters, red, blue, yellow. 2 battery packs and extra bulb.with spot to flood feature. I think it was around 40.00 at walmart.

Also came with 12 volt adapter and 120 charger.

Next time you see the local warden ask him to show you ones he has picked up to see what the pros are using in the pastures.

A trick I have learned for my rechargeable tool batteries including spotlight is I have an outlet strip connected to a timer that cycles on every night for aobut 15 or 20 minutes. this keeps the batteries fully charged without overcharging them. It also seems to drastically lenghten the life of most NiCad battereis
