I picked up a 14.4V Blue Point 3/8" cordless impact last week and what a sweet little thing it is. I whined until the Snap On guy brought the price down a little. I had priced Milwaukee and DeWalt and showed him the prices so he got it close enough that I bought it. It came with two batterys and of course a charger. He is by the shop every Friday so if I have problems with it he can handle it. Home Depot said they only sell em and you have to send the tool in to the company for repair or warranty issues.

How do you like its balance, weight, power, and how long the battery lasts?

I'm looking to replace my aging dewalt which has served me well for a number of years. I have the Snap on 3850 1/2 cordless for service calls. I like a small frame 3/8 cordless for trim and upper engine work. I am not a big fan of blue point products but, may give it a shot.

I like the balance and handling better than the Milwaukee I looked at, just got it last Friday so I don't know about how well the batterys perform. It will remove the lug nuts on a passenger car though and I checked then after I buzzed em back on and they were tight enough, but a man would want to recheck then anyway. I know what you mean about Blue Point tools but this seems like a nice little tool.

I love my Makita cordless impact. I actually have two, one a 1/2" drive impact which is great for tire changes and working around the house. I recently bought their impact drill driver (I have a side job doing metal roofing every now and then) and love them both.
