O2 Regulator.

I have an old Union Carbide two stage oxygen regulator that has trouble maintaining a stable line pressure. It does okay at higher pressures used when cutting, but when I try to use it at a lower setting like around 8-10 psi for brazing the pressure flucuates so badly that I can't use it. I had it rebuilt about 10 years ago by my gas supplier (Indiana Oxygen) for the same problem. Now it's doing the same thing again. I thought 2 stage regulators were better at keeping the line pressure steady than single stage were. Do I need a new regulator, or is there something they're overlooking? Thanks. Jim.

Sounds like a diaphram hole. Open cyl. valve slowly to avoid pressure shock.
