Had to pick up a part for the electric stove this morning and while waiting I looked at some of the recondition battery powered drills, had a 14.4 Craftsman, 2 batteries and case for 104.00. Has anyone else bought recondition drills or anything else thats battery powered and if so whats your thought on them. Thanks .

Don, i think you can buy a new cordless drill for less than that. I bought mine 14 volts black and decker for about 65 dollars. A lot of times you can them for less on sale George

I often buy reconditioned parts and tools. This way you know that someone has checked it out and hopefully replaced anything that needed replacing. But the question of warranty is still important.

Last spring I bought a new scale on ebay so I could weigh stuff to sell on ebay. Well it arrived in good condition with the written warranty and worked great untill the other day. The warranty is 30 years in Europe & lifetime repair/replace free in the US. Now reading the warranty further, I discovered that a dated receipt must be included when the scale is sent for repairs so they can determine if the warranty has expired. I've sent two emails to the seller asking for a receipt which was not included with the scale. So far, there's been no response. Lesson learned: tell the seller to include a receipt with the purchase. No exceptions!

Slopoke,
Couldn't you just keep a copy of your confirmation e-mail from e-Bay?

Never thought of that! I'll check to see if it hasn't been thrown out with the trash. Thanks for the idea.
