New life for ni-cad batteries?

I have a Hitachi battery drill. I use it for work. Both of my batteries are losing charge now overnight. Is there anyway to refurbish these things?

I had Makita 9.6 volt battery drills in the 80's that held charges for a week at least.

Check this web site. Somehow I found it and bookmarked it - maybe from a prior discussion on this board. My 12 volt B&D drill batteries are pretty well shot, thought I would give it a try sometime. Sounds good, but no idea how well this company performs.

i can remember oh.. late 80's when you could get whisker zappers that could extend the life of nicad batteries .. but.. I havn't seen many products like that in quite some time now.. especially now that most things have metal hydride batteries..
