Could you tool guys please go to the "help identify" part of this site and look at the photo I just posted. Its a 5hp gasoline driven air compressor that I need parts for (mainly gaskets) but I can't find a model# or serial# anywhere on it. Sears can't help me without a #. Maybe you or someone you know has one of these and could pass on a number for me. Thanks.....Fred

Found a manual for mine. Manual is for model #s 106.154561, 106.173571, 106.179570 and someone has circled the last #. It has a 3hp briggs but I don't know enough to tell you what kind of compessor it is. I can send you pics of the pages of the manual if you want. Just send me your email.

MF294-4, when I looked up your #'s you gave me it looks just like it on the Sears site. The difference as near as I can tell is the 5 hp engine mine has and the 3 hp engine yours does. Could it be mine has a larger tank and therefor they put a larger engine on it to drive the compressor? The picture of the compressor is dead on. The different #'s that you mentioned I think means what spray guns they included when they were sold according to the parts list. Thanks to you and all that came to my aid. Theres a wealth of information out there if you can just find it! If you could send me a copy of the manual I'd be forever gratefull because Sears no longer offers it. Thanks .....Fred

Check Sears part number 106.171880
This pump was rated for 3hp electric which would put it in the 5hp gas range. Sears has some parts for it but not all.
Grainger still has parts also.
My best luck for parts and decents prices have been Ralph Baer. For some reason I can't post his E-mail adr. Contact me on regular E-mail.

Got one just about like yours. Craftsman with a briggs engine. No speed control, ran at what ever you set the engine at but had a unloader on the compressor. Will look tomorrow to see if I have any paper work in the shed. Mine vibrates like crazy, can't keep gauges working.

It's an old VT series SpeedAire (Campbell Hausfeld) pump. If you can find a compressor shop nearby they should be able to get you a kit for it with no problems. Kits often come with gaskets for several different styles of this pump, since it takes so few parts to rebuild them.
