When I reply to a post and go to the preview, and want to make changes, I use the back button. All fields are now blank except for the subject line. So I have to type the whole reply again. I've had this problem before, but don't remember how I fixed it or if it fixed itself. Any answers? Thanks

I got the same problem when I subscribed and downloaded the Norton anti-virus program. When the Norton subscription ran out switched to AVG (free) and the problem went away.

My Norton Internet Security 2004 expired several months ago. I don't remember if the problem occured when NIS was active or after it expired. But it started again in the last week or so.

I don't know enough about this stuff to be anything other then dangerous but I did remove the Norton program under control panel "add or remove programs" before downloading AVG.

Same for me, If when the preview post comes on if there is a mistake it just has to post that way and if it is something that needs correcting I just have to put in a follow up post

I've had the same problem. I click on (return to forum) instead of back. This keeps me from clearing the reply I just typed in.

I don't see any "Return to Forum" on the preview page. It says use the back button to make changes so I have no choice. I also loose the name and email fields when I go back even if I copy everything by highlighting.

Mine started doing the same thing. Now I always copy my post (Ctrl C) before I use the back button. Then I paste it back in (Ctrl V). Kind of a pain in the #@% but it works.

I just decided to run another test to see if I'd lose the work when returning to the reply page via the "Back" button. The first time the typwritten material was gone, but the Name & email address were still in their boxes. The second time using the "Back" button, all previous work remained including the Name & email boxes.

The only thing I did was last evening I ran "Disk Cleanup". I'm not sure if it was successful because it said to restart the computer, but each time I restarted it gave the same restart message again. This morning I clicked on "tools" and tried to do an error check, but it didn't appear to run. Then I did defrag (which the computer said I should do) and that did work. Maybe that's what was causing the problem. Everything is now working as it should. Untill next time!
