I have a recipe pamphlet from Sturgis Sand & Material in KCK for "White Cement Paint" that is at least 53-years old. Their recipe: 10-lbs waterproof white portland cement
2-lbs Snowflake hydrated lime
1/2-lb salt Fine white silica sand may be added to improve surface hardness. 5-8 lbs sand to 10-lbs cement Mixing of Paint: Mix all dry materials except salt thoroughly. To each 10 lbs of dry mixture, add 1.5 quarts of water to which the salt has been dissolved, and mix to a uniform, thick paste. Stir in additional water until paint is of a rich, creamy consistency. Allot to stand about 15-minutes, then remix adding more water if necessary and apply to previously cleaned and dampened surface. For application, use a brush with short fiber bristles, such as an ordinary scrub brush. Two coats reccommended, 24 hours apart. Keep painted surface damp for several days by sprinkling lightly with water. One gallon of mixed paint will cover approximately 200 square feet... It's pretty durable stuff. Dad painted the stucco with it in 1953 and again in 1976. It will give you a workout; that brush gets heavy.
