Also an update on finding a shop, we have closed on an old dodge auto dealer service builing, in great shape, with concrete floors. So no metal building will be needed, many thanks for all the help if you remember the post about a month ago.Question is, what have you all had the best success with for concrete paint or stain as I see it's called, don't think I've ever used the material or seen in installed on any of the jobs I've been on, some called for dustproofing and other finishes, but no paint or stain. So I don't have much historical information on this type of material. The customer would like his garage floor at home painted and probably the new to us service building floors as well. I will do some research on the net also, but the customer wants his home done asap, so I need to find the best product available. Surface at his house is a raw concrete finish, finish is a little rough from use over the years, house was built late 80's early 90's, will require a thorough cleaning and going over I'm sure for a good bond, but the service building floor has been painted over the years, dates back to the 40's or earlier, who knows what it has been painted with over the years, same clean and prep will apply here, I'd be concerned about oil residues, not sure if the existing surface will require any special prep work, per say like we did in the correctional facility floors years ago, they were bead blasted before installing epoxy system, do appreciate any suggestions on the subject, thanks again !
